Board Certification: A Step Beyond

Dr. DunlevyOne of the most important things to know about Dr. Jack Dunlevy is that he is certified by the American Board of Orthodontics (ABO). To display this symbol, an orthodontist must successfully complete a full-time residency program at a certified dental school, a two-day written examination covering all aspects of orthodontics and an evaluation by an international board of examiners. ABO certification provides patients with a standard of excellence they can use to select an orthodontist. BY choosing a board-certified orthodontist, you will be sure to receive the highest level of orthodontic care. But there's even more to know about Dr. Jack Dunlevy.

He attended Brown University on an academic/athletic scholarship and graduated with honors in 1980. Dr. Dunlevy holds a D.M.D. degree from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, a master’s degree in Public Policy and Government from Harvard and a Master's degree in Orthodontics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He has been practicing orthodontics in Midlothian since 1987.

In addition to his ABO certification, Dr. Dunlevy is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Virginia Dental Association, Southern Society of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Virginia Association of Orthodontists, UNC Orthodontic Alumni Association and the Richmond Dental Society. He has held leadership positions in many of these organizations.
